In my experience, winget is helpful for checking and updating most applications that run on Windows. Winget is designed to enable “users to discover, install, upgrade, remove and configure applications on Windows 10 and 11 computers,” according to Microsoft Learn. For those not already in the know, winget is the built-in, PowerShell-based interface to Microsoft’s Windows Package Manager service. Additionally, my team provided Occuspace/Waitz with recommendations on the app naming convention and set up, aiming to improve the overall user experience. Simultaneously, our team developed an innovative ReactJS web application as part of the UI development phase to showcase key capacity components in Purdue's libraries. The marketing strategy involved gathering student insights through surveys and benchmarking to determine the optimal approach for promoting the Waitz mobile app effectively to the target audience. Earlier this week, my incredible PurdueTHINK Consulting team and I delivered our final project presentation! Throughout the course of this semester, we had the pleasure of collaborating with Purdue University Libraries and School of Information to create a comprehensive marketing strategy and user interface (UI) enhancement plan to introduce Waitz, an occupancy-tracking software that caters to the needs of students.
